The PHAT App is here to make customer lives quicker, easier and ultimately, safer.
Traditionally, if you need a taxi, you’d have gone to the original ‘Google’ – the Yellow Pages or you’d have a draw with a bunch of business cards in.
Fast forward to today and you’d typically head to Google and search ‘Taxi near me’ or ‘8 Seater taxi near me’… then you try to contact the firm, a firm that doesn’t answer. When you do get through, eventually, they tell you the price, and you are taken aback a little, so make your excuses and … ‘Research ”Taxi near me” again… and repeat.
It’s slow, tedious, frustrating and 9/10 you’ll end up with the annoying first firm because they are the only one that seems to be available.

At the PHAT App, you tell us who you want, if you have a particular firm in mind, book them. If you don’t mind who picks you up, select ‘any vehicle’ and any firm within your local area that has subscribed to our app will be notified.
If you need an 8 Seater vehicle for example, all the local firms are pinged at precisely the same time. This will save the above scenario, subsequently saving you stress and time!
You will receive automated messages for the following:
- To confirm the booking
- if the driver is running late
- when the driver is on their way (complete with live tracking)
- when they are nearby
- …and finally when they are outside and have arrived
Safety:
All drivers are checked and verified before being allowed on the app.
We take the safety of our customers very seriously and so all drivers MUST be licensed and all vehicles MUST be licensed. All drivers have to undergo an enhanced DBS and provide evidence of their certificate, along with having to do a safeguarding course, local knowledge test, and provide identification and verification of their insurance and MOT documents. This isn’t enough for us though, so to make customers even safer we have built in a feature so that they can share their journey with loved ones when they are on their trip.
Additionally, when the customer receives their text that the driver is on their way, you will see a picture of their beautiful face and information about the vehicle they are in. If they are not the person in the picture or the vehicle isn’t the same, call us immediately!
More Control:
As a customer, sometimes you need to cancel your trip. We’ve all been there when you want to cancel but can’t get through because it’s a busy Saturday evening, eventually, you give up, the car inevitably pulls up and they try to charge you… These days are over! Simply head to your trips, select your prebooking, click ‘edit booking’ and select ‘cancel trip’… job done!
You can also add and remove additional pick-up and drop-off addresses and edit your booking time and date, if necessary!
